Ribble Valley Labour Party member Maria Gee has been busy making face masks and scrubs bags for staff in care homes and also Berry Lane Medical Centre in Longridge where her daughter Caroline is a GP.

Maria said: “It won’t necessarily protect staff but will cut the chance of them passing on the virus to patients by 95%. Although staff showing symptoms will self isolate at home, we know that symptomless transmission is a real risk.”
